HELSINGE (Desert Sun - Scandinavia) earned her place in history as the dam of unbeaten world champion sprinter BLACK CAVIAR (Bel Esprit). She was also the dam of champion 3 year old and Caulfield Guineas winner ALL TOO HARD (Casino Prince) who is an emerging stallion at Vinery Australia. Helsinge died tragically in January 2017 after an adverse reaction to a penicillin injection and I was heartbroken at her loss. She was owned by Rick Jamieson's Gilgai Farm. Helsinge leaves behind 2 daughters who are still owned by Gilgai Farm. An unraced full sister to Black Caviar named NATURALE and another unraced filly BRIGITE who is a full sister to All Too Hard. Naturale is due to foal to champion Victorian stallion Written Tycoon this spring and is booked to Gilgai's new stallion CABLE BAY, as is Brigite.
